I’m Sian. I’m a tech-loving creative and have a passion for helping small businesses thrive.
These days I’m a web and graphic designer and build sites for a wide range of companies but I’ve been where you are.
I started out in my career as a jeweller, trying to build an online business back when it just wasn’t that easy!

Online Shop In a Weekend
An intensive weekend course with two full days in person.
Build live with Sian in the room to help and guide you.
During the weekend Sian will demonstrate a process and then you will repeat it on your website.
The days will be intense! By the end of the weekend you should have a functioning website with the shop installed, setup and checkout tested.
After the weekend has finished you will get access to 8 weekly Zoom group coaching calls where you can continue to ask questions and get advice.
There is a private students only Facebook group to help you at any point and Sian is happy to chat on messenger if you are stuck.

QUESTIONS?
do I need experience with websites?
No, my courses assumes you know nothing.
The Weekend Intensives will start with WordPress loaded up and ready to go on a staging site.
You will be taught everything you need to know.
How does the weekend intensive work?
The weekend intensive is either a group live Zoom webinar or an in person event.
It is two full 8 hour days and will need you to be able to concentrate on your website for the full time.
The aim is to cover building the bones of a full ecommerce shop.
You would need to come prepared to make the most of it. Full details of what you need to bring will be provided.
For the online Zoom version you would need two screens, one to run the Zoom call (it could be a tablet though a phone might be too small to clearly see what’s going on) and the other screen (desktop computer or laptop) would be needed to work on with an internet browser open so you could work on your site live as the class progressed.
The course includes having WordPress installed on SB Academy staging site hosting. So you would be building away from any live site you currently have.
The information you need to migrate the finished site to its live home will be available in pdf format.
The course fee includes a pdf copy of Sian’s book Plan, Prep, Launch! that covers everything you need to do before you build a business website.
A discounted print copy of the book will also be available to Students.
When are the group coaching calls?
For 8 weeks starting on the first Wednesday after the course there will be a weekly Zoom coaching call.
You can either sign in and be there live to ask questions or just follow along with whatever we are covering. You do not have to attend the coaching calls.
If you can’t make it to the live call you will be able to watch a recording from your student dashboard afterwards.
The recordings will stay available so you can go back in and watch them multiple times.
Every time the course launches there will be another set of 8 weekly calls. Students from any of my previous classes will be allowed to join future calls.
Will the course cover the legal stuff?
I will provide a pdf that covers what you need to know about cookie notices, a privacy policy and terms to stay on the legal side of the Distance Selling Regulations.

Will you cover SEO?
The Weekend Intensive will include loading up an SEO plugin and a run through of the settings.
You will get a free copy of my book Plan, Prep, Launch! that also talks about SEO.
does the course cover social media?
On the Weekend Intensive there will not be time to cover syncing to Facebook. It is also unlikely that you will get to the point of having all your products listed within the two days.
If students are interested I can cover how to sync to Facebook and Instagram on a group coaching call.
